We understand the devastating grief, guilt, and anger, the feeling of being lost, we've experienced it too. In 2010 a free grief support group for mothers of addicts (The Broken Angels Grief Support Group) was formed because we felt lost and alone until we met Mothers just like us. No one else can understand the stigma of losing a child to addiction. At Mothers of Addicts Grief Support Group (MAGSGroup) we're not therapists, we don't claim to offer grief therapy, we offer friendship and support.
We want to reach out and help provide support, compassion and understanding to Mothers who have lost a child as a result of drug or alcohol abuse, suicide or other health issues related to substance misuse.
There are many groups available for parents who have had a child die. Only someone who has personally experienced the pain of losing a child due to addiction can fully appreciate the depth of emotions that this loss brings.
Our arms and hearts are open to any Mother who has had a child die due to substance abuse or addiction. We are a non-denominational free grief support group.
Call, text or e-mail Janet at 954-815-3661 or firstname.lastname@example.org for meeting location, date and time.
